Welcome to Modern Languages & Literatures

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures offers major and minor concentrations in French, German and Spanish. Courses in Cherokee and Portuguese are also offered. Course work, experiential learning opportunities and extracurricular activities in the department are designed to provide the student with a solid command of a world language, as well as a thorough understanding of the literature and culture expressed through that language.
